Data Analyst

Overview

The Data Analyst plays a critical role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive business decisions within the organization. This position is essential for collecting, processing, and analyzing large sets of data to help identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. The Data Analyst collaborates closely with various departments to provide data-driven recommendations that enhance operational efficiency and support strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities

1. Collect and interpret complex data sets from multiple sources.
2. Analyze data trends to support decision making.
3. Create data visualizations to summarize findings.
4. Develop and maintain dashboards for key performance indicators (KPIs).
5. Perform statistical analysis to identify patterns and predict outcomes.
6. Design and implement data collection processes.
7. Manage data cleaning and validation to ensure accuracy.
8. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
9. Collaborate with IT and other teams to meet data needs.
10. Develop reports for internal and external stakeholders.
11. Monitor performance metrics and suggest improvements.
12. Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in data analytics.
13. Utilize SQL and other tools to extract and analyze data.
14. Support ad hoc data analysis requests.
15. Document data analysis processes and methodologies.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, IT, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
3. Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
4. Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
5. Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis.
6. Experience with data warehousing concepts.
7. Solid understanding of statistical analysis and methodologies.
8. Excellent knowledge of Excel, including advanced functions.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
11. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
12. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
13. Experience in business intelligence or analytics projects.
14. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
15. Knowledge of machine learning concepts is a plus.
