Job description

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Correlate incident data to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Report suspected cyber incidents according to the entity’s cyber incident response plan.
  • Analyze logs from multiple sources to identify potential threats to network security.
  • Analyze and report on cyber defense trends.
  • Analyze network alerts obtained from various sources to determine the probable causes of any detected events.
  • Monitor external data sources to maintain an up-to-date understanding of the state of cyber security threats and identify security issues that may impact the entity.
  • Analyze incident priorities to identify the vulnerability, its scope, priority, and potential impact, and then provide recommendations that will provide rapid remediation.
  • Document and escalate cyber incidents that may lead to immediate or ongoing impact.
  • Work with stakeholders to resolve cyber security incidents and vulnerabilities.
  • Evaluate and monitor the cyber security aspects of the entity’s practices by implementing and testing systems.
  • Perform technical and non-technical risk and vulnerability assessments of the entity’s technical environments.
  • Describe and analyze network traffic to identify anomalous activities and potential threats to network resources.
  • Coordinate with the rest of the cyber defense team to verify the authenticity of network alerts.
  • Provide daily summary reports of network events and other cybersecurity-related activities in line with the entity’s policies and requirements.
  • Analyze risks whenever any program or system undergoes a fundamental change.
  • Ensure that cybersecurity is included within the software development, maintenance, and decommissioning processes.
  • Address security implications at the software acceptance stage.
  • Conduct secure software testing, reviews, and assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in code and address vulnerabilities.
  • Apply methodologies to fix common software bugs with security implications to ensure secure software development.
  • Perform secure programming and identify potential vulnerabilities in code to address vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure that software and software applications are tested to ensure the desired information is produced and that instructions and security levels are safe.
  • Conduct cybersecurity reviews, identify security gaps in the security architecture to support risk management strategies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or any other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the field of cybersecurity.
  • Experience in formulating policies and procedures and implementing NCA requirements.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity regulations and controls published by the National Cybersecurity Authority.
  • Experience and deep understanding in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, etc.
  • Having professional certifications like CompTIA Security, CYSA, and any other relevant certifications.
  • Good understanding of data governance and management.
  • Cyber threat hunting skills.
  • Analytical skills to detect threats and respond to incidents.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
  • Strong communication skills, including presentation skills, and working with various relevant departments.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to make quick decisions.
  • English speaking and writing.

Must be Saudi.
