We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic Customer Solution Engineer to be responsible for providing technical expertise to identify the most suitable KONE product for customer requirements. This role involves interpreting customer specifications and aligning them with KONE’s solutions, including escalators, auto walks, machine-room-less elevators, high-rise systems, and third-party equipment. The engineer also plays a key role in developing non-standard solutions and supporting the tendering process, ensuring that all technical requirements are met with KONE’s product offerings.
Communication with Customer or Project Team:
Responsible for attending regular customer meetings, project follow-up meetings, and site coordination meetings. Together with the Project Manager, they will be the point of contact between the customer and KONE for all technical points.
Collaboration with Sales:
Responsible for finding the optimal KONE product to meet the customer’s needs for non-standard and major project cases. Selects the correct product platform on which to make the offer.
Collaboration with Supply Line:
Responsible for placing the order to the factory, including the correct documentation and procedure. Follow up on manufacturing and coordinate the material delivery dates to operations.
General Responsibilities:
Participates in product and new service release information-sharing sessions. Provides technical training to Sales, Installation, and Maintenance as per Front Line needs. Offers input to product offering management about customization, standardization, and interface requirements for the portfolio.
Minimum Requirements:
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Minimum of 5 years experience in the elevator business or another relevant field. Excellent verbal and written English and Arabic language skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer handling skills. Understanding of different building types and customer segments. Good knowledge of environmental and sustainability requirements and norms. Good CAD and optional BIM skills. Basic knowledge of competitors’ products. Good understanding of how a product’s total costing is built up, as well as local norms and regulations.
