Post-Award
A key member of the Commercial/Contracts function and KSA Operations delivery Team, reporting to the SVP of Operations directly with a dotted line to the VP Commercial - EMEA. Responsible for overseeing and supporting Commercial and Contracts activities for the assigned project(s).
Oversee and manage the commercial and contracts team to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Develop and implement contracts and sub-contract strategies that align with Kent and client's goals and objectives.
Ensure proficient risk management and mitigation for the assigned project(s).
Key stakeholder management internally and externally.
Conduct training and awareness sessions of the Contract Synopsis to project team members.
Ensure the rights and obligations of the Company are maintained and protected at all times through the appropriate application of reporting, notices, correspondence, and the like on an ongoing basis.
Coordinate with functions to best support projects.
Manage contract administration, including drafting, negotiating, and reviewing contracts, change orders, and amendments.
Support projects to negotiate and clarify contractual requirements in meetings with clients, contractors, and vendors.
Support Procurement with Sub-Contract / Service Agreements drafting.
Support Sub-Contractor tender analysis, tender evaluation, negotiation, and agreements across the project portfolio.
Collaborate with regional and project management to ensure suitable support in contract negotiations and administration.
Provide commercial and contractual guidance to ensure proficiency and timeliness of contract administration for both Prime Contracts and Sub-Contracts.
Provide guidance on Variation control and support across the portfolio through to final account.
Provide claims support and guidance to our teams.
Assist projects on conflict avoidance/resolution, dispute management, and resolution.
Manage and liaise with internal Legal Counsel on construction contract-related matters.
Negotiate the more difficult, complex, or sensitive issues with clients whilst maintaining relationships intact.
Make staffing assignments and reassignments as Company and project needs arise. Recruit, interview, and evaluate prospective and current employees.
Engage in regular travel to projects and sites as required.
Support the EMEA commercial function with commercial-related matters.
Support the Monthly Project Review process. Ensure the project(s) are adequately prepared and lead the internal review process from time to time.
Qualification/ Certification:
Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Law, or similar from a reputed university.
15 - 20 years of experience, with at least 5 years in an EPC Contractor organisation.
Comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and the negotiation of prime contracts.
Working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with contract administration.
Working knowledge of Aramco prime contract terms and conditions essential.
