Job Purpose:

The Temperature Controller is responsible for agile monitoring of temperature control systems and GPS systems to detect any deviation or emergency. He is also responsible for preparing deviation reports.

Key Accountabilities:

Warehouse Monitoring

• Ensure that all procedures, policies, and escalation matrices formulated for deviation or emergency situations are adhered to strictly.
• Regularly monitor systems to detect any deviations in temperature of cold rooms and GPS systems for any alarms raised by the temperature alarm system or GPS.
• Be agile in communication with the warehouse team for any cases of deviation, emergency, or malpractice incidents.
• Coordinate with the storekeeper to know about the reason for temperature deviation (operations/equipment breakdown).
• Inform the direct manager about temperature deviations.
• Regularly monitor systems to detect any deviations in temperature of truck cooling units or routes of trucks in transit.
• Inform the transportation supervisor with details of trucks in transit in case of deviation of route or variance in temperature.
• Regularly monitor systems to detect any possible conditions resulting in an emergency state such as network issues and power failure.

Record Keeping

• Create deviation reports for incidences of temperature variance or deviation in vehicle routes and include the information received from the maintenance department on these instances.
• Store temperature monitoring data and fleet transit data.

Warehouse Safety & Crisis Management

• Inform the maintenance supervisor about temperature variance.
• Coordinate with the driver in case of vehicle breakdown and ensure that temperature monitoring is being done.
• Inform the warehouse storekeeper about emergencies.
• Provide operational support in cases of emergency.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 4-year degree or 3-year diploma.
• 1-3 years experience in monitoring of control room, temperature monitoring systems, and GPS systems.
• Prior experience in warehouse operations and cold storage equipment.
