Project Nature (T26): Support Departmental Network and related infrastructure for the Labour Department (LD)

Duties:

1. Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the LD;
2. Plan and control all phases of computer projects including technical study, systems analysis and design, procurement and installation, programming, implementation, nursing and maintenance in LD;
3. Provide technical consultancy services and recommend technical solutions on the development and maintenance of the Departmental Network and related infrastructure in LD;
4. Lead an in-house team and/or vendors/outsourcers to deliver IT projects and provide pro-active measures for supporting the Departmental Network and related infrastructure in LD;
5. Perform any other relevant duties as assigned by supervisors and the management of ITMD of LD;
6. May work in various locations, including Eastern, Central and Western district, and any other area in Hong Kong;
7. May be redeployed to provide IT support for other divisions/systems/projects in the future.

Requirements:

1. Must have solid experience in network design and infrastructure implementation;
2. Must have solid experience in IT Security;
3. Must have solid experience in the SSADM;
4. Must have solid work experience in the Government;
5. Experience in Security Risk Assessment and Audit is highly desirable;
6. Intensive experience in managing Government IT projects is highly desirable;
7. Experience in Government Procurement Procedure is highly desirable;
8. Experience in Site Preparation is highly desirable;
9. Work experience in the Labour Department is desirable;
10. Interview will be conducted in both Cantonese and English;
11. Written test in English will be conducted to evaluate the skill and experiences of the candidates.

Technical Skills:

1. At least 8 years' experience in Infrastructure (INF);
2. At least 8 years' experience in IT Security (ITS);
3. At least 8 years' experience in Network Design (NDN);
4. At least 8 years' experience in SSADM (SDM);
5. 6 years' experience in Security Risk Assessment and Audit (SAA) is an advantage.

Non-technical Skills:

1. At least 8 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV);
2. 8 years' experience in managing Government projects (IEG) is an advantage;
3. 8 years' experience in site preparation (SPE) is an advantage;
4. 6 years' experience in Government procurement/disposal procedures (GPD) is an advantage.

Education: Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;

Experience: At least 8 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 2 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
