In Consulting, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the best across industry and professional functional advisory services. We focus on helping solve client problems by offering both strategic and operational deep industry expertise. Our Consulting practice currently focuses on several core sectors including Consumer and Industrial Products & Services, Energy, Utilities & Mining, Financial Services, Government, Health Industries, supported by competencies including Finance & Accounting, People and Organisation and Technology.
Business Unit Overview
You will be working within the Finance Transformation team, which provides advisory services focused on the CFO agenda. The work we typically undertake includes:
- Finance operating model and finance transformation
- Corporate planning, financial planning, budgeting and reporting
- Corporate treasury
- Public Financial Management, including Treasury Single Account, GFMIS and Cash to Accrual conversion
- Effective financial control, reporting and consolidation
- Shared services finance and transactional efficiencies
- Costing and cost reduction opportunities
- Leveraging ERP, EPM, Digital and Cloud technologies
- Supporting adoption of new accounting standards (eg. IFRS) and regulatory compliance standards (eg. introduction of indirect tax) through Process and Systems enablement
- Deep modeling experience with Financial Planning & Analysis tools with a focus on Anaplan.
Responsibilities:
In your role as a Manager with a focus on ESG Reporting Technology Enablement, you will lead the charge in integrating cutting-edge technologies to streamline and elevate ESG reporting processes for our clients. Your responsibilities include:
- Spearheading the adoption and optimization of ESG reporting technologies, ensuring tools such as Workiva, Sphera, SAP, Oracle or others are leveraged effectively to meet client-specific requirements.
- Guiding teams in the technical aspects of ESG reporting, from system selection to implementation and improvement.
- Lead ESG Reporting Technology Enablement projects from planning to delivery, producing technical deliverables, managing client relationships and budgets, and mentoring junior team members.
- Advise clients on data management strategies, ensuring accurate and efficient data collection for ESG reporting.
- Stay on top of industry trends and latest developments affecting ESG reporting.
- Acting as a key advisor on technology-driven ESG solutions.
- Work closely with clients to integrate ESG reporting into their overall finance and accounting systems.
- Play a role in advising clients on strategic finance-related matters.
- Collaborating across teams and service lines to promote innovation in ESG reporting.
Requirements:
- You're driven, adaptable, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
- You possess excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
- An MBA or a Master's in Finance is a plus.
- Preferred Qualifications: Certifications like CA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, and CMA are highly beneficial.
- Experience: A minimum of 6 years of experience, including at least 4 years focused on ESG reporting and finance transformation.
- Sound knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, ISSB, or SASB).
- Previous experience with ESG data management and reporting systems (e.g., Workiva, Sphera or other relevant).
- Strong client service mindset.
- Ideally with experience in at least 3 of the following sectors: Transportation, Real Estate, Retail, Financial Services, Telecoms, Oil-Gas or Public Sector.
- Self-motivated, confident, with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent organisational skills and resilience under pressure.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and G-Suite.
- Fluency in English (mandatory) and Arabic (desirable).
- Willingness to travel across the Middle East as needed.
