Job description

Rawafid is on the lookout for a skilled Construction Cost Controller to oversee the financial aspects of our construction projects. In this vital role, you will manage the cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure that our projects are financially viable and adhere to budgetary constraints. Your expertise in cost analysis and reporting will be instrumental in identifying variances, implementing cost-saving measures, and enhancing project profitability. You will collaborate closely with project managers and the finance team to track costs, prepare financial reports, and provide insights and recommendations based on detailed analyses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction finance, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to managing project costs. Responsibilities

  • Prepare, update, and maintain project budgets, cost estimates, and forecasts throughout the project lifecycle
  • Monitor and analyze project expenditures to ensure alignment with budgets and financial targets
  • Identify cost overruns and variances, providing detailed analysis and recommendations for corrective actions
  • Collaborate with project teams to gather data for financial reporting and assist in decision-making processes
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and budget performance summaries
  • Assist in the preparation of cost-related documentation for tenders and proposals
  • Support the implementation of cost control processes and tools to enhance financial performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Construction Management
  • Certified Cost Professional
  • Min. 7 years of experience in cost control or project accounting within the construction industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics GP, Excel, Word, Aconex, SharePoint, Primavera P6, CostX
  • Strong understanding of construction cost management, job costing, and financial reporting
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with project teams and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of industry standards, practices, and regulations related to construction costs
