The Role

The Sales Executive is responsible for business generation by prospecting, soliciting, and securing business from key corporate accounts, luxury travel agencies, and other potential clients on behalf of Red Sea Global Hospitality. This role involves a significant degree of independent judgment and discretion in decision-making, with the goal of meeting and exceeding sales targets, maximizing RevPAR, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction. The Sales Executive will work closely with both the Cluster Director of Business Development and other team members to build strong business relationships and ensure targeted revenue goals are achieved.

Key Area of Responsibilities

Please note that the responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive. Red Sea Global Hospitality employees are expected to contribute to the business needs and collaborate across departments. As a Sales Executive, you will:

Business Development and Prospecting

  • Comprehend and effectively communicate the business strategy and positioning of the hotels within the marketplace.
  • Solicit, confirm, and service travel agent, wholesale, transient, and corporate accounts, including negotiating rates and confirming contracts.
  • Identify and create target accounts that will generate business for the hotels.
  • Follow up on all business inquiries and leads, qualifying them to generate room nights and positively impact RevPAR.
  • Develop and execute account plans for top 20 accounts, making recommendations regarding pricing, yield management, room night production, and sales activities.
  • Achieve monthly and annual revenue and direct sales goals, which include outside sales calls, prospecting calls, site inspections, and client entertainment.

Sales Effectiveness

  • Drive business generation by securing upscale, individual business from corporate clients, luxury travel advisors, and agencies.
  • Develop strong relationships with high-net-worth clients and corporate decision-makers to ensure the hotels are top choices for luxury vacation experiences.
  • Engage with luxury agencies and corporate accounts to build positive, lasting relationships.
  • Ensure accurate account production tracking and review the performance of each account against potential, providing suggestions for improvement.
  • Maintain an accurate sales log and produce weekly/monthly sales reports.
  • Create and maintain a customer database to support promotions and direct marketing efforts.
  • Monitor forecasts and adjust sales programs when necessary, in collaboration with the Business Development Director.
  • Actively participate in familiarization trips and site inspections as required.
  • Maintain strong personal and professional development, ensuring the necessary tools and skills are in place for success.

Sales Administration

  • Utilize sales management systems efficiently to enhance productivity and gain meaningful insights into sales performance.
  • Establish and maintain strong system hygiene, including accurate account creation, client information, and bookings.
  • Maximize the utilization of sales and reservations systems (e.g., Opera) for travel industry business.
  • Participate in sales meetings, pipeline meetings, and leadership meetings.
  • Respond to and maintain correspondence with all potential and existing clients.
  • Follow up on all pending business details and ensure timely execution.
  • Produce monthly sales recaps and execute quarterly and annual action plans.

Key Qualifications

Educational and Professional Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in sales or business development.

Core Skills and Competencies

  • Strong sales experience with the ability to generate and close business from high-net-worth clients and corporate accounts.
  • Experience with sales automation tools and hospitality reservation systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster long-term relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a luxury hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge of the travel industry and trends, particularly in the corporate and luxury markets.
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
