Purpose of Position

• Create, improve and protect the environment in which we live.
• Plan, design and oversee construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure, such as roads, railways, airports, bridges, harbors, dams, irrigation projects, power plants, and water.
• The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy.

Major Responsibilities

• Perform assigned IDI site inspections as required.
• Prepare inspection reports within the same day of inspection.
• Coordinate with clients prior to inspections and attend inspections on time.
• Review project relevant documents and prepare IDI reports as required.
• Review all issued reports to familiarize with actual project conditions prior to inspections.
• Review and correct site inspection reports as required.
• Perform any task assigned by N+1 within his competency limits.

Other

• Observe the HSSE policies and procedures at all times.
• Comply with the ethical policies and code of ethics.

Qualification And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years proven experience in quality assurance & quality control or construction related areas.
• Experience in Structural Engineering and Building Envelope.

Skills & Qualities

• Knowledge in construction site inspections.
• Conversant with codes and standards related to structures (soil and foundations, reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, steel, etc.).
• Conversant with codes and standards related to buildings Envelope (i.e. Curtain Wall, Waterproofing, Façade stone cladding, etc.).
• Ability to interpret results of inspections.
• Able to verify and decide about the status of Non-conformities/corrective actions.
• Good report writing skills.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Engineering Software (Etabs, Safe, etc.).
• Knowledge of QA/QC standards.
• Knowledge of design and construction regulation and requirements in KSA.
• Experience in the preparation of technical proposals.
• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and submit reports promptly.
