Job Title: Civil Engineer - Power Projects

Location: Qassim (Nearest town Alburaydah) & Taiba (Nearest town AlMedina)

Job Overview:

This role will serve as an Owner’s Representative for the QASSIM / TAIBA 1980MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Independent Power Project, overseeing all Civil Engineering aspects of the project. This role involves technical reviews, quality assurance, and site inspections to ensure compliance with international standards, project specifications, and industry best practices. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for reviewing Method Statements (MS), Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and Material Approval Requests (MARs) while collaborating with other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in safeguarding the owner’s interests by monitoring project progress, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards, and supporting the commissioning and operational phases of the plant. This position requires expertise in CCGT technology, a strong understanding of civil codes and standards, and the ability to manage related work in a high-performance environment.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience as Civil Engineer in Power Projects (Simple Cycle & Combined Cycle).
3. Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
4. Hands-on experience with inspection techniques, construction practices, and structural integrity assessments for civil engineering projects.
5. Experienced in adhering to industry standards and codes such as ACI, ASTM, BS, ISO, and SBC, with a strong focus on concrete structures, steel works, soil mechanics, and foundation design.
6. Proficiency in testing and inspection techniques, including soil compaction testing, concrete strength testing, and rebar inspection, with expertise in interpreting test results, is highly desirable.
