Role Purposes:

Primary duties of the Civil Engineer involve ensuring civil plans and design documents are in accordance with best practices, applicable codes, and standards. The role also includes monitoring civil site activities to verify continuous compliance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable codes and ordinances. NEOM is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our growing team, working on a variety of interesting engineering activities. Key Accountability and Activities:

1. Review engineering design documents and evaluate them to ensure compliance with NEOM’s Engineering Codes and Standards.
2. Lead the review and update of NEOM’s Engineering Codes and Standards for alignment with IBC, ACI, ASCE, AISC, PCI, and PTI codes and standards, ensuring safety and well-being for future smart cities.
3. Review violations and applications for deviation from NEOM’s Engineering Codes and Standards and produce technical reports and recommendations.
4. Contribute to the review, update, and maintenance of NEOM’s Engineering construction specifications.
5. Prepare Engineering design guidelines.
6. Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and guidelines for NEOM’s Technical Standards and Codes approvals authority.
7. Review manufacturer, vendor, and supplier drawings and samples, performing technical prequalification analyses.
8. Make presentations to teammates and NEOM Sectors and Departments.
9. Lead and participate in technical workshops for NEOM employees.
10. Support teammates to effectively improve team performance.
11. Conduct inspections and monitor the day-to-day project progress of structural elements within the project scope.
12. Coordinate all issues related to the structure of the building within project scope with contractors for resolution.
13. Assess deficiencies and participate in methods of repair.
14. Monitor workflows and schedules with designated contractors.
15. Attend coordination meetings for structural systems with the Project Management Team, Commissioning, and Facilities Management.
16. Assist in making technical decisions.
17. Evaluate work performed by contractors.
18. Maintain records and report daily to the Project Manager.
19. Witness all testing and commissioning.
20. Monitor new construction and rectification of structural elements.
