Chief Operations Officer (COO)

This strategic role will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth across our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Strategic Leadership:

• Drive the development and execution of comprehensive operational strategies
• Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to achieve corporate objectives
• Oversee multi-million dollar budgets and resource allocation
• Lead change management initiatives and digital transformation efforts

B. Operations Excellence:

• Direct all manufacturing operations including casting, forging, machining, and heat treatment
• Implement and optimize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
• Develop and manage production schedules aligned with customer demand
• Oversee inventory planning and management strategies
• Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency and productivity

C. Asset Management:

• Direct lifecycle management strategies for critical assets
• Oversee capital projects for equipment acquisition and facility upgrades
• Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs
• Ensure optimal utilization of manufacturing resources

D. Quality and Safety Leadership:

• Champion workplace safety initiatives and environmental sustainability
• Collaborate with Quality department to maintain rigorous quality standards
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
• Lead Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) initiatives

E. Team Leadership:

• Build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Drive talent development initiatives
• Promote cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing

Qualifications:

Education:

• Master's degree preferred in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in relevant field

Experience:

• 15+ years of progressive experience in Operations Management; 8+ years in senior leadership positions
• Proven track record in manufacturing operations
• Experience with modern manufacturing technologies and methodologies

Technical Expertise:

• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of maintenance strategies and asset management
• Familiarity with quality management systems
• Experience with operational excellence methodologies

Professional Certifications (Preferred):

• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Relevant Safety certifications

Language Skills:

• Fluent in English (required); Arabic language (preferred)
