Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining excellent standards of hygiene and efficiency.
Manage and coordinate activities within your designated kitchen section
Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to menu specifications and quality standards
Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in menu planning and development
Ensure proper food storage, handling, and rotation to maintain freshness and minimize waste
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with food safety regulations
Monitor and control food costs within your section
Assist in inventory management and placing orders for supplies
Participate in menu tastings and contribute creative ideas for new dishes
Ensure timely and efficient food service during peak hours
Qualifications
Proven experience of 2-3 years as a Chef de Partie or in a similar culinary role
Strong cooking skills with expertise in various cuisines and cooking techniques
In-depth knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution (preferred)
Creativity in dish presentation and menu development
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
Proficiency in kitchen management software and inventory systems (preferred)
