The Role

The Sr. Bartender is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the bar and beverage operations of the Lombard restaurant. This includes managing the bar, developing and executing beverage menus, and ensuring the highest level of service and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the bar, including managing the bar inventory, ordering and receiving of beverages, and overall cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
• Develop and execute creative and profitable beverage programs, including specialty cocktails, wine lists, and beer selections.
• Ensure the highest level of service is provided to all guests, and that beverage orders are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
• Monitor and control beverage costs, and work closely with the restaurant manager to achieve financial targets.
• Train bar staff to ensure a high level of knowledge and skill in beverage service, including proper techniques for pouring, mixing, and serving.
• Maintain proper inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking of all beverage-related costs.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure proper pairing of food and beverage offerings.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment in a similar role.
• Ability to develop and execute creative and profitable beverage programs.
• Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages, including wine, beer, and spirits.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems and inventory management software.
