Amazon KSA is looking for a smart, enthusiastic, hard-working and creative candidate to join as a Category Manager. The Category Manager will be responsible for developing and owning the strategy for categories at Amazon. Within this role, the individual will have the opportunity to establish and maintain strong vendor partnerships, manage category profitability, and identify means to improve the customer experience. We are seeking a seasoned business leader with a broad skill-set which demonstrates analytical horsepower, ability to lead and motivate a team, excellent business judgment, strong vendor management and negotiations skills, deep curiosity to uncover how things work, and a passion for creating a world-class shopping experience for our customers. You will work with vendors of all sizes and must have the leadership presence and communication skills to represent Amazon at all levels of these organizations. Experience in business analytics, strategic thinking, negotiations, and operations are required.
– 5+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience
– Bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience
– Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership
– Knowledge of Excel and extracting data through varied reporting tools in order to drive and influence business decisions
– Experience managing large data sets and utilizing them to drive performance and process improvements
– Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development
