Capital Markets Advisory Lead - KSA


Overview:


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Real Estate Capital Markets Advisory professional to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of capital markets, real estate development, and financial analysis, particularly within the context of Saudi Arabia’s giga projects and ambitious development projects. This role involves working closely with clients and existing JLL regional teams to provide strategic advisory services, manage investment projects, and support the development of real estate assets through effective structuring and public-private partnerships. JLL holds a market-leading advisory position in KSA, and this role leverages existing relationships and intelligence in a Capital Markets capacity.


Capital Markets Advisory:


  • Advise clients on capital raising strategies, including debt and equity financing, structuring deals, and forming public-private partnerships.
  • Conduct financial modeling, underwriting analysis, and due diligence for investment opportunities, particularly those related to large-scale construction and development projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with investors, lenders, and other key stakeholders in the capital markets, both locally and internationally with input and guidance from the wider JLL organization.
  • Analyze market trends, feasibility studies, and project viability to guide development decisions within the context of Saudi Arabia’s unique market conditions.
  • Assist clients in navigating regulatory requirements, zoning laws, and other legal considerations specific to Saudi Arabia.
  • Create compelling investment teasers for opportunities to be shared with potential developers and investors.
  • Package investment opportunities based on risk, size, asset class, and other relevant criteria to attract suitable investors and developers.
  • Understand and be able to commercially assess feasibility studies, project financials, and valuations to ensure sound investment decisions.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on thorough financial analysis and market research.
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Engage with and use the expertise within JLL's global and regional capital markets teams and work seamlessly with local teams, e.g., strategic consulting, valuations, PDS, etc.

Client Management:


  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients as it relates to the capital markets business line in KSA, ensuring clear communication and understanding of their needs and objectives.
  • Create new and leverage existing client relationships and ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, MRICS) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in real estate capital markets, investment banking, or development advisory, with significant exposure to the Saudi Arabian market.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Deep understanding of real estate markets, investment strategies, and development processes, with a focus on public-private partnerships and structuring deals.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with investors, lenders, and industry professionals.
