Job Title: Camera Installation Technician

Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Camera Installation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting security camera systems for residential and commercial clients. This role requires both technical expertise and customer service skills to ensure the successful implementation of surveillance systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Install Security Camera Systems: Safely and efficiently install indoor and outdoor camera systems, wiring, and related components.
2. System Setup and Configuration: Configure cameras, recorders, monitors, and other security components to meet client specifications and preferences.
3. Troubleshoot and Maintain: Identify and resolve any technical issues with camera systems, including connectivity, image quality, and hardware malfunctions.
4. Client Interaction: Provide excellent customer service, explaining system operation, and addressing client questions or concerns regarding the camera setup.
5. System Testing and Calibration: Conduct post-installation testing to ensure all cameras are properly functioning, and that recordings and live feeds are clear.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and equipment inventory.
7. Upgrades and Replacements: Perform upgrades or replace outdated systems as required by customers.
8. Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical support and assistance to customers post-installation, including troubleshooting and system optimization.

Qualifications:

1. Experience: Previous experience with the installation and maintenance of security systems (camera systems, DVRs, etc.) is preferred.
2. Technical Skills: Familiarity with electrical systems, network configuration, and surveillance software.
3. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry equipment, climb ladders, and work in varied outdoor conditions.
4. Customer Service: Strong communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and support.
5. Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose technical issues and devise effective solutions.
6. Certifications: Certifications related to security systems, camera installation, or electrical work (e.g., CCTV Installation Certification) is a plus.
7. Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Additional Skills (Preferred but not required):

1. Familiarity with IP-based cameras and network configuration.
2. Experience with cloud-based security systems and remote viewing applications.
