The Role of the Cafe Boulud Assistant Manager – Restaurant Hostess:
The role of a Café Boulud Assistant Manager – Restaurant Hostess is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of a hotel's all-day or fine dining restaurant. Responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, and directing the work of employees, they play a vital role in maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction.
As a Café Boulud Assistant Manager – Restaurant Hostess, you are responsible for creating and implementing efficient systems and processes to ensure seamless operations. This includes overseeing scheduling, monitoring inventory levels, managing food and beverage quality standards, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Effective communication skills are essential, as this role requires collaboration with various hotel departments to coordinate functions and special events. Additionally, you will work closely with kitchen staff and chefs to maintain smooth coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
Your role also involves leading and managing a team of five employees while prioritizing restaurant operations.
Knowledge and Skills:
College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management. 2 – 3 years of restaurant management experience in a luxury hotel or resort. Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language. Requires a working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures. Requires ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems. Strong leadership & organizational skills required. Strong delegation, and operational skills to effectively manage high-volume operations.
