Rare Disease Product Specialist

The Maritime Operations Manager at Durrah Advanced Development Co. is responsible for overseeing and managing the efficient transportation of goods via sea routes. This role involves coordinating with shipping companies, port authorities, customs officials, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of cargo. The Manager will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations, managing documentation, and optimizing logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, port authorities, and customs officials to ensure smooth operations.
2. Communicate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to provide updates on shipment status and resolve any issues.
3. Prepare, review, and manage all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and certificates of origin.
4. Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, including SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea), ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security Code), and other relevant standards.
5. Coordinate logistics activities with relevant stakeholders, including port authorities, shipping companies, and internal teams.
6. Monitor and analyze maritime operational performance metrics to identify areas of improvement.
7. Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
8. Address any maritime-related issues promptly to minimize disruptions in operations.
9. Prepare and maintain operational reports for management review.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in maritime shipping, freight forwarding, or a similar role.
3. Strong understanding of maritime laws and regulations, as well as safety standards.
4. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. 10+ years of experience in maritime operations management is preferred.
