Job description

Role Summary

The Business Development (BD) Assistant is an entry level role within the BD function. The BD assistant will be involved in various tasks including administrative, document control, document production, document formatting and editing, data entry, database research, market research, graphic design, reporting and other tasks related to proposal production, prequalification and presentation material production.

The BD assistant will work in a multitasking work environment, under the guidance and direction of the BD management and proposal management personnel within the BD function.

Reporting line: Business Development Director

Key responsibilities:

  1. Works under direction and guidance in all assigned tasks
  2. Assists in the production of proposals, prequalification submissions, presentations and capability statements
  3. Assists in formatting and editing proposal documents
  4. Assists in producing creative and graphic design work for proposals and presentations
  5. Assists in BD document control tasks including updating and maintaining the BD database
  6. Performs administrative tasks such as data entry to BD forms and reports
  7. Assists in researching the company’s database for staff CVs for proposals use. Assists in coordinating staffing requirements with the recruitment team
  8. Assists in CVs formatting and editing for proposals use
  9. Assists in market research activities as guided by the BD director
  10. Other BD related tasks will be assigned upon orientation and training.

Qualifications:

  1. BS / BA degree in marketing, business administration, journalism or any other related field
  2. Fresh graduate
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Multitasking skills. Able to deliver multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  5. Time management skills
  6. Organization skills
  7. Creative skills
  8. High attention to detail
  9. Research skills
  10. MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) skills. Adobe Creative Suite skills is a plus.
  11. Fluency in English and Arabic languages (verbal and written)
  12. Team player. Driven and motivated to learn and develop
