Boiler Operator

Operate, monitor, and maintain boilers and related systems to ensure uninterrupted operation and compliance with production schedules.

Adjust controls and settings as needed to maintain safe and efficient boiler operations.

Conduct routine checks on pressure gauges, temperature indicators, fuel levels, and water levels.

Perform routine preventive maintenance and cleaning of boiler equipment and systems.

Troubleshoot and repair minor issues; escalate major issues to the maintenance team.

Conduct safety checks, including inspecting safety valves, pressure release systems, and related controls.

Maintain proper documentation and logbooks for inspections, operations, and incidents.

Test and treat boiler water to prevent scaling, corrosion, or other damage.

Adjust chemical dosages as required to maintain appropriate water quality.

Work as per hygiene standards and compliance of hygiene work permit & hot work permit wherever applicable.

Optimize boiler operations to minimize fuel and energy consumption while maximizing efficiency.

Suggest process improvements to reduce downtime and improve system reliability.

Proper disposal of scrap material by segregating it and then shifting to scrap bunkers.

Respond promptly to alarms or abnormal conditions to avoid equipment damage or production interruptions.

Maintain the equipment as per recommendation of condition monitoring.

Follow up on routine maintenance activities and work orders.

Report to the maintenance manager or engineering team on system performance and issues.

Maintain personal tool kit and ensure hygiene condition of tools as well as workplace, environmental & safety standards.

Prepare work orders according to requirement and to complete and TECO them.

Check and record operational parameters of equipment.

Perform daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly safety checks of related equipment.

Troubleshoot and make the equipment operational as soon as possible.

Update the information regarding equipment efficiency and spares in Tech store.

Perform shutdown jobs as per plan.

The job holder is responsible for the practical implementation of process description activities based on IFFCO objectives & principles, review, and improvement of KPIs.

Manage external suppliers.
