Job description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Beach Resort Operation Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our beach resort, ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the resort's overall operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and recreational activities. Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the overall operation of the resort, ensuring all areas are clean, well-maintained, and meeting high standards of quality and safety.
  2. Manage the front desk, including guest check-in and check-out, room assignments, and handling guest complaints and issues.
  3. Supervise housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are cleaned and maintained to high standards, including linen supply and turndown service.
  4. Coordinate with food and beverage outlets to ensure seamless service, including restaurant operations, bar service, and catering.
  5. Plan and implement recreational activities and events to enhance the guest experience, such as beach games, water sports, and themed nights.
  6. Manage resort inventory, including supplies, equipment, and inventory control.
  7. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient operation of the resort.
  8. Conduct regular walk-throughs of the resort to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments.
  9. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and problem-solving.
  10. Manage budgets and monitor expenses to ensure profitability.
  11. Recruit, train, and develop a team of talented staff members to provide exceptional customer service.
  12. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of experience in a hospitality management role, preferably in a beach resort setting.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
  3. Proven track record of excellent leadership and management skills.
  4. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  6. Familiarity with hotel software systems (PMS, POS) an asset.
  7. High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.

Qualifications:

  1. Certification in hospitality management or a related field (e.g., CHTP).
  2. Experience with resort operations management software (e.g., Opera).
  3. Knowledge of local laws and regulations regarding hospitality industry operations.
  4. Proficiency in basic accounting principles and budgeting.
