The Role

As a Barista, your role will involve preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, with a special focus on coffee. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of all drinks served, maintaining a clean and welcoming work environment, and providing excellent service to our guests. You will engage with guests, share your passion for coffee, and create memorable experiences for every person you serve.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

Please note that the responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive. Red Sea Global Hospitality employees continuously innovate in caring for the needs of the business, their guests, and their colleagues. As Barista, you will need to:

  1. Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and other specialty drinks to meet guest preferences.
  2. Ensure consistency and quality in every drink served, following established recipes and techniques.
  3. Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, taking orders and answering questions about the menu.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized coffee station, including regular cleaning of equipment, countertops, and seating areas.
  5. Ensure that all coffee and tea supplies are stocked, and report any shortages to the manager or supervisor.
  6. Create an inviting and positive atmosphere, ensuring guests feel welcome and appreciated.
  7. Accurately handle cash and process payments, including using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  8. Assist in opening and closing the café, including setting up the coffee station and ensuring that it is properly cleaned and stocked at the end of the shift.
  9. Maintain knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing techniques, and the latest trends in coffee culture.
  10. Assist in managing inventory, ensuring proper storage and rotation of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies.
  11. Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  12. Provide recommendations to guests based on their preferences and educate them about the various coffee offerings.
  13. Support the team during peak hours, helping to ensure smooth operations and a positive guest experience.
  14. Perform any other duties as required to ensure the success of the café and satisfaction of our guests.
