Banking Center Manager - Walnut Creek

Summary: This individual provides exceptional service to our customers and prospects, opens new accounts, processes loan activity, grows customer portfolios and strengthens community relations with the Banking Center.

- Serve our customers in a professional and caring manner.

- Follow CSB professional standards of dress and conduct.
- Build rapport with customers by asking quality questions to help meet their needs.
- Management of staff including:
- Mentoring, encouragement, and support to help develop each staff member to their full potential.
- Conducting regularly scheduled staff meetings and one-on-one meetings.
- Overseeing banking center personnel which includes scheduling and approving days off.
- Conducting performance evaluations.
- Distributing disciplinary action as needed.
- Operations of the banking center including:
- Encouraging and complying with CSB’s policies and procedures and ensuring banking center is operationally sound.
- Operating banking center within CSB established guidelines for customer service standards and retail ready standards.
- Monitoring account overdrafts for the banking center.
- Approving or returning NSF items according to policy.
- Assisting banking center personnel in resolving difficult transactions and/or sensitive customer relation problems.
- Conducting monthly audits of CSR drawers, ATM, and the banking center vault and reporting findings to the Security Officer.
- Completing customer transactions and establishing new deposit accounts as outlined in the Retail Services Handbook.
- Sales revenue and growth including:
- Establishing and executing calling program designed to meet or exceed agreed upon growth goals.
- Contacting customers, businesses, community, and civic organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business.
- Working with existing customers to expand relationships and grow business.
- Encouraging and coaching staff to participate in meeting Service and Scorecard goals.
- Providing customer referrals to bank personnel as appropriate.
- Working closely and collaboratively with CSB business partners including Consumer and Commercial Lenders, Cash Management, and Wealth Management.
- Projecting a positive image of CSB within the community through involvement in local organizations.
- All consumer, non-mortgage lending activities including:
- Examining, evaluating, and processing consumer loan applications; approving or rejecting loans within specified limits, and/or conducting loan closing.
- Overseeing the overall process and procedure surrounding indirect lending activities and maintaining relationships with the indirect dealer(s).
- Maintaining billing files and floor plan audits for commercial customers with floor plan loans.
- Demonstrating a commitment to CSB’s vision, mission, and core values and seeking to align one’s behavior in such a way that gives these foundational principles the best chance at becoming a reality.
Education and/or Experience: A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. A four-year, business-related degree is preferred. A minimum of four years of experience in retail banking is required.
