Baggage Scanners Technician

• Check and maintain baggage Scanner Smith Heiman (100100T,9075).
• Check and maintain Hand Baggage scanner Smith Heiman 6040i and 60402si. Astrophysics.
• Check and maintain Personal Metal detectors. METOR, AMD, CEIA.
• Conduct thorough inspections of baggage using advanced X-ray scanning technology to identify potential threats and prohibited items.
• Calibrate and maintain scanning equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
• Analyze images generated by scanning equipment to detect anomalies, ensuring swift and accurate threat assessments.
• Collaborate with security personnel to report findings and assist in further investigations when necessary.
• Provide training and support to junior technicians on best practices in baggage scanning and equipment handling.
• Document inspection results and maintain detailed logs for compliance and reporting purposes.
• Stay updated on the latest security protocols and technologies relevant to baggage scanning.
• Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions, conducting troubleshooting and repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
• Participate in regular safety drills and training sessions to enhance emergency response skills.
• Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures for baggage scanning operations.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Electronics Engineering.
• Smith Heiman Certified.
• English spoken and written.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a security or baggage handling environment is required.
• Experience with advanced scanning equipment and image interpretation is essential.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Associate's degree in electronics, aviation security, or a related field is preferred.
• Certification in security screening technology or related industry standards is highly advantageous.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
• Strong communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with security teams.
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail are crucial to identify potential threats.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair scanning equipment effectively.
