BAESSA Head of Security

Job Title: BAESSA Head of Security - 00125754

Job Purpose: Reporting directly to BAE Systems Saudi Arabia (BAESSA) Director MD Office (MDO), the BAESSA Head of Security is required to lead a team of security specialists undertaking security activity at over eight operating locations across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). This key leadership role includes providing specialist security advice to the Business and being the process owner for all aspects of security for BAESSA KSA, partner companies in KSA, and its UK support locations. Additionally, the post is required to deliver services for in-scope BAE Systems PLC activities as agreed and directed by the BAESSA Director MDO.

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the provision of expert domain knowledge to ensure effective security performance across all of the Air KSA business.
2. Management of the implementation of relevant HMG and Saudi government security requirements.
3. Ensuring compliance with HMG and Saudi government security requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Educated to degree level (or equivalent) with experience in a security-related discipline.
2. Experience of working in a diverse multicultural environment.
3. In-depth knowledge of HMG and industry standard security policies, standards, and good practice.
4. A thorough knowledge of HMG/SAG/defence industry security policies and indicative procedures.
5. Politically astute with excellent communication & influencing skills.
6. A good working knowledge of the MENA region.
7. Ability to facilitate and lead discussions, obtaining commitment through negotiation and influence.
8. Knowledge and understanding of the intelligence cycle and its application.
9. Recognised ability to deliver against challenging commitments to meet the expectations of customers and business alike.
10. Hold or have the ability to obtain a UK DV security clearance.
