The scope of job responsibilities for an Associate Consultant in Pulmonology is basically the same as that of a Consultant. The organizational regulations are, however, to be followed in relation to the admitting privileges and running as Outpatient service under his/her name. The Associate Consultant in Pulmonology would usually work under the legal and professional supervision of a Consultant Pulmonologist.
Graduation from a recognized medical school. Successful completion of a structured accredited Residency Training in General Medicine/Subspecialty Fellowship Program in Pulmonary Medicine. Certification by the appropriate Specialty Board, approved by the Saudi Council of Health Specialties.
Training and post-training period is less than (7) years. Should have a minimum of two (2) years experience in a tertiary care centre in Pulmonary Medicine after certification, of which at least two (2) years are spent in an accredited training program abroad. Superior or above average performance in areas of patient care and teaching/training activities is required. Productivity in medical research merits strong consideration. Publications in peer-review journals are highly desirable.
Fluent in English Communication; Arabic Language is an added advantage.
Computer Skills are at expert level.
