Jacobs is seeking a talented and experienced Associate Architect with specialized expertise in rail or metro station design to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, KSA. As an Associate Architect, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing the design process for metro station projects. Your extensive knowledge of architectural principles, urban design, and transportation infrastructure will be instrumental in creating innovative, functional, and visually appealing metro stations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading design teams, exceptional project management skills, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of metro station design.

Key responsibilities will be as follows:

1. Provide design leadership and direction throughout the entire lifecycle of metro station projects, from concept development to construction and commissioning.
2. Collaborate with urban planners to ensure metro station designs align with broader city infrastructure plans.
3. Coordinate with senior architects and project managers to develop design concepts for metro stations.
4. Develop and refine architectural design concepts for metro stations, considering factors such as passenger flow, safety, accessibility, aesthetics, and sustainability.
5. Create comprehensive design proposals, including plans, elevations, sections, and 3D visualizations, to communicate design intent to clients and project teams.
6. Apply your deep understanding of metro station design principles, urban planning, and transportation infrastructure to develop innovative and functional design solutions.
7. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and standards for metro station design, including safety, accessibility, and environmental requirements.
8. Conduct design reviews and evaluations to ensure adherence to design standards, specifications, and project requirements.
9. Implement quality control processes to maintain design integrity throughout all project phases.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a recognized university. Professional architectural licensure is strongly preferred.
2. Extensive experience (15-20 years) in architectural design, with a focus on metro station projects. Taking part in large scale iconic projects in the region is a plus.
3. Proven track record of leading the design process for complex architectural projects, preferably including metro station design.
4. Strong knowledge of urban design principles, transportation infrastructure, and the specific requirements of metro station design.
