About Us

We are a leading food sourcing and distribution company specializing in a wide range of food products, including rice, sugar, canned food, milk powder, butter, cheese, and honey. As we continue to expand, we are looking for an Assistant Purchasing Manager with experience in the food & beverage industry to oversee our procurement operations and supplier management.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Procurement Management: Source, negotiate, and procure food and beverage products, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.
  2. Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure the best deals and long-term partnerships.
  3. Market Analysis: Monitor food industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks to make informed purchasing decisions.
  4. Inventory Control: Collaborate with the warehouse and sales teams to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid shortages or overstocking.
  5. Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising on product quality.
  6. Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure that all purchased goods meet regulatory and safety standards as per Saudi Arabia's food regulations.
  7. Logistics Coordination: Work closely with shipping and logistics teams to ensure smooth import and delivery processes.
  8. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate purchasing records, contracts, and supplier agreements.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 1 year of experience in procurement or purchasing within the food & beverage industry.
  2. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  3. Knowledge of international and local food suppliers.
  4. Understanding of Saudi Arabian food import regulations and compliance standards.
  5. Ability to analyze market trends and make strategic purchasing decisions.
  6. Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems is a plus.
  7. Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
