Job Purpose:

  • Manage HR operations and employee relations for site-based employees, ensuring they receive comprehensive support, tailored HR practices, and compliance with company policies and labor laws.

Job Responsibilities:

Employee Relations and Grievance Management

  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for employee grievances and complaints.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution between employees and management.
  • Support staff terminations, assisting line managers to communicate news professionally, and personally manage exit procedures and financial arrangements.
  • Manage disciplinary processes, including issuing warnings and conducting terminations in alignment with company policies and legal requirements.

Policy Enforcement and HR Support

  • Implement and oversee HR policies and procedures on-site, ensuring consistent application and compliance.
  • Ensure site employees understand and follow HR policies and procedures.
  • Act as the primary HR liaison between the site and headquarters, communicating updates on policies, procedures, and company announcements.
  • Work closely with on-site HR Business Partners on shared responsibilities, ensuring seamless collaboration.

Record Keeping and Compliance

  • Maintain accurate, confidential HR records for all site employees.
  • Validate and coordinate employee relocations to and from the site, ensuring compliance with relocation policies.

Benefits Administration and Support

  • Assist site employees with medical insurance issues, coordinating with headquarters benefits team as needed.
  • Communicate benefits information effectively, helping employees understand and access their benefits.
  • Provide day-to-day HR support to site employees, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Support employees in resolving pending benefits matters to ensure timely processing.

Offboarding and Transition Support

  • Process off-boarding for site employees, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance with offboarding protocols.
  • Provide feedback from site employees to the headquarters HR team to inform HR strategies and policies.

Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports

  • Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.

Safety, Quality & Environment

  • Apply safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services, and a responsible environmental attitude.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of departments systems, processes, and practices considering international best practice, improvement of business processes, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 6-7 years of experience in the same field.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of local labor laws and regulatory compliance relevant to the site location.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
