Job description

The Assistant Managers for Guest Fleet Maintenance will ensure that all services related to the up-keep, maintenance, and presentation of the Land Mobility fleet of Guest facing vehicles are completed to high standards that deliver an unparalleled guest experience.

To supervise and oversee all the maintenance team activities to ensure the land mobility fleet of guest facing vehicles are maintained and prepared to the highest standard whilst ensuring maximum guest fleet availability and safety.

To design, plan, enhance and implement standard operating procedures that drive performance, operational effectiveness, contingency management and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities

Planning

  1. Responsible for coordinating with all the stakeholders of the Fleet Maintenance department to ensure that all guest fleet maintenance, repair, and cleaning services are planned efficiently and effectively to ensure maximum fleet availability and minimum downtime.
  2. Responsible for planning of all guest fleet maintenance and repair activities.
  3. Responsible for planning of all guest fleet cleaning activities.
  4. Responsible for planning of guest fleet labour resources and work allocation.
  5. Responsible for planning and managing stock of guest fleet parts and consumables.
  6. Responsible for planning of guest fleet vehicle availability for mobility operational requirements.

Operations

  1. Represent Fleet team in multi stakeholder Integrated Control center for operational oversight.
  2. Lead the collaboration with TOCC, vehicle suppliers, fleet maintenance providers, vehicle recovery companies and external stakeholders for guest transfer bookings. Report incidents, vehicle mishaps, complaints and ensure continuous follow through action for Guest transfer service recovery.
  3. Manage and supervise the fleet maintenance workshop and all associated plant & equipment.
  4. Monitor and supervise all guest fleet maintenance activities to ensure that all work is carried out to high standards.
  5. Comply with service standards, regulatory requirements, and policies.
  6. Responsible for guest fleet incidents, defects, and breakdowns.
  7. Responsible for gathering information on guest fleet requirements to improve operational efficiency of the system and process.
  8. Monitor all guest fleet maintenance staff and contractors to ensure all activities are completed safely and efficiently.
  9. Responsible for planning and participating in any training requirements for the guest fleet maintenance team.
  10. Address the risks, issues, challenges and report them to management.
  11. Carry out regular audits and inspections on the fleet of guest vehicles.
  12. Undertake other tasks and assignments related to the job and as assigned.

Accounting & Reporting

  1. Manage and report on the completion of planned and unplanned fleet maintenance activities.
  2. Responsible for maintaining stock of vehicle parts and reporting all parts usage.
  3. Responsible for verifying and reporting on contract maintenance costs.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  1. Use of Fleet Management system Magenta dashboard to ensure 100% fleet availability for all operational requirements and contingencies.
  2. Identify fleet defect trends and implement process improvements to enhance the performance of the guest fleet.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet or exceed customer expectations, KPIs in the mobility space.
  4. Champion a culture of continuous improvement within the fleet maintenance team.
  5. Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation, considering the distinct needs of mobility services.
  6. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) reporting for operations within the fleet maintenance department.
  7. Monitor and analyze performance metrics, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
  8. Implement corrective actions to address operational challenges specific to fleet performance and availability.
  9. Perform any other duties as directed by management to contribute to the overall success and efficiency of the team and organization.

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience

  1. Bachelor's or diploma degree in an Engineering or Science based subject.
  2. At least 5 years experience within the GCC is preferable.
  3. Experience in the Light Vehicle Fleet Maintenance Industry (Electric Vehicles is an advantage).
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication in English (Arabic is an advantage).
  5. Vehicle Main Dealer maintenance background would be an advantage.
  6. Strong understanding of Asset Maintenance Management Systems.
  7. Good command over MS Office Suite.
