Job Description & Summary

The “Asset Management” Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s fixed assets. This includes ensuring accurate and timely accounting, tracking, and reporting of all fixed assets. The role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, asset management practices, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Asset Management:

1. Maintain and update the fixed asset register.
2. Develop and implement asset management strategies to optimize the lifecycle of assets.
3. Oversee the classification, depreciation, and disposal of fixed assets.
4. Conduct regular physical inventories and audits of fixed assets.

Accounting & Reporting:

1. Ensure accurate and timely recording of fixed asset acquisitions, transfers, and retirements.
2. Prepare and review depreciation calculations and schedules.
3. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper asset capitalization and depreciation in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.

Compliance & Policies:

1. Develop and implement policies and procedures for asset management.
2. Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards and regulations.
3. Coordinate with external auditors during audits of fixed assets.

Analysis & Planning:

1. Analyze asset-related data to support decision-making processes.
2. Assist in budgeting and forecasting related to fixed assets.
3. Provide regular and ad-hoc reports on asset status and performance.
4. Identify underperforming assets and recommend for disposal or renewal.

Systems & Processes:

1. Implement and maintain fixed asset management systems and software.
2. Identify and recommend improvements to asset management processes.
3. Train staff on asset management policies and systems.

Required Language Skills:

Proficient in written and spoken English. Arabic is a plus.

Minimum Education and Specific Qualification:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.

Minimum years experience required:

1. 10+ years of experience in fixed asset management, accounting, or a related field.
