The Army Aviation Logistics Quality Control Specialist (PMO) contributes input towards the development and implementation of an analytics driven procurement process for continual improvement.
Performs oversight and guidance to contractor personnel performing logistics support actions for the RSLFAC. Ensures compliance IAW with customers and contractors supply chain procedures, DCMA, FARs, and DFARs. Assists contract personnel and approved government personnel in resolving problems.
Provides guidance regarding established procedures according to directives, quality procedures, work standards, and operational policies. Inspects and verifies proper completion and documentation of quality discrepancies. Must be able to lead small groups independently and provide oversight updates to the program and government leadership.
Monitors supplier performance, issues supplier corrective actions, and provides recommendations to the program manager for supplier corrections. Works with supply chain to minimize TAT for AOG and other high priority items. Builds relationships with industry suppliers. Generates reports and validates accuracy of contract deliverables. Performs other qualified duties as required.
High school Diploma or Equivalent is Required.
Two (2) years experience as a Logistics/Supply Chain analyst is Required.
Five (5) years of experience required within the US Army Supply Chain/Logistics fields.
ISO 9001, AS9100 or AS9120 QMS Aerospace Standard quality program implementation and management experience is desired.
Broad working knowledge of aviation logistics, quality control techniques and standards, FAA regulations, and US Army technical publications desired.
Exceptional communication skills, leadership abilities, and personnel management skills are required.
Valid Drivers License is required.
Must possess or be able to obtain/maintain a US Government Confidential Clearance. NOTE: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Confidential Clearance.
Able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Access, and Excel. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds. Work may be outdoors in extreme weather conditions. May be exposed to extreme noise from turbine engine aircraft. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles; may be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts, vehicles, or aircraft. May be required to travel.
