The Commodity Manager position is an individual contributor role that provides strategic leadership for their assigned commodity within Siemens Energy.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Lead the Castings, Forgings and Machined Parts commodity for Saudi region supplier base.
• Support the Saudi localization strategy for Large Gas Turbines with focus on driving the local content share for Castings and Forgings.
• Ensure Saudi Arabia region supplier base is identified and effectively used by Siemens Energy Gas Services.
• Ensure clarity on cost structures and spend in area of responsibility via Commodity Circles.
• Increase Managed Spend in the area of responsibility by safeguarding awarding following the defined commodity strategy for Saudi region supplier base.
• Implement periodic strategic procurement activities – negotiations planning, commodity strategy updates, awarding strategy and sourcing board approvals, quarterly review meetings, etc.
• Prepare, negotiate, award and make available frame contracts & price lists for strategic suppliers in accordance with business and market requirements.
• Generate, document and implement savings measures, supervise and report relevant critical metrics.
• Drive early procurement / supplier involvement and cost-out activities via respective Commodity Circles.
• Identify procurement risks and opportunities and implement respective measures, feedback Saudi region supplier market information and knowledge to team members through network.

What You Bring

• BE / B. Tech Mechanical, Supply Chain Management with a minimum of 10 years’ collective experience working in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Sourcing or similar function and having Casting and Forgings experience is a must.
• Sophisticated knowledge of sourcing processes. Experience handling Long Term Contracts and negotiating complex terms and conditions.
• Strong proven understanding of manufacturing techniques and processes for assigned commodity. Excellent leadership skills and consistent track record to lead change.
• Experience using financial and data-driven techniques to make decisions.
• Ability to influence through effective verbal and written communication skills; clearly and succinctly conveys information and ideas to individuals and groups. Good problem-solving and decision-making skills, Leader, self-starter.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% both domestically and internationally. Fluent in English; Arabic would be a huge plus.
• Knowledge of Turbine & Turbomachinery Industry.
