Assembly, Maintenance and Overhaul Technician (ARMO Tech - Electro Mech – Drilling Services)

SAU-Dammam

Role Summary:

As an AMO Technician, you will troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble, and perform the visual inspection of mechanical assemblies. You will assist in repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment, performing all tests with minimal instruction.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Contribute to the rework, repair, and modification of equipment that does not meet the required standards.
2. Skillfully identify and communicate technical issues by employing logical troubleshooting techniques.
3. Expertly carry out complex and challenging tests with minimal guidance and documentation.
4. Offer guidance to fellow technicians in areas where you have demonstrated expertise.
5. Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement improved assembly processes.
6. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.
7. Review procedures for assembly, disassembly, and test verification accuracy; configure test stations and systems.
8. Analyze and interpret data from environmental tests, troubleshooting equipment problems.
9. Assist in the setup of experiments and the recording of experimental data in collaboration with Engineering and Reliability groups.
10. Test and evaluate the performance of general-purpose test equipment; repair if required.
11. Work in compliance with HS&E policies and procedures.
12. Continuously strive to enhance efficiency and productivity through innovative problem-solving methods.
13. Regularly update technical documentation to reflect any modifications or improvements made.

Qualifications/Requirements:

1. Have a 2-year technical diploma or associate degree in electrical/mechanical field or higher.
2. Have 0-2 years of related experience as an AMO Technician with electronic experience; cannot have all CVs submitted as fresh graduates.
3. Have advanced skills in soldering and assembling electro-mechanical devices.
4. Can read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and parts lists.
5. Be proficient in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes.
6. Be proficient in the use of multi-meters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers, and other basic instruments.
7. Very good command of English, spoken and written.

4. Alternative Marketing Titles: AMO Technician.
5. Working Hours Per Day: 9 hours per day – including an hour break.
6. Working Days Per Week: 5 Days per week.
7. Contract Duration: 6 Months renewable.
8. Number of positions to be filled: 9 (must be a mix of fresh and experienced candidates).
9. Preferred Language: English.
