Job description
Overview

Conducts comprehensive AH6i aircraft maintenance tasks, adhering to specific guidelines outlined in the OEM Operators Manual, Maintenance Test Flight Manual, Check List Manual, and other relevant directives. Tasks include removing and installing various aircraft systems and subsystem assemblies such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, and mechanical flight controls. Additionally, services and lubricates aircraft systems, prepares aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks, and performs both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions. Utilizes common measuring tools, precision measuring gauges, and alignment fixtures. Conducts routine and special inspections on aircraft and related components, along with maintenance operational checks. Diagnoses and troubleshoots aircraft subsystems using specialized tools and equipment. Performs operator maintenance on tools, special tools, and Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (AGSE), and meticulously prepares aircraft maintenance forms and records. Takes charge of developing and executing phase plans from Pre-Dock to Post Test flight, ensuring all related operations prioritize safety.


During the 2nd Shift, efficiently conducts AH6i aircraft maintenance tasks, including removing and installing various components, performing inspections, and ensuring operational checks, all in strict adherence to safety protocols and industry standards.


Responsibilities
  • Ensures that AH-6i Aircraft maintenance functional activities and procedures among designated organizations are planned, coordinated, integrated, and synchronized to achieve established platform operational readiness objectives.
  • Responsible for the compliance with established maintenance systems, processes, procedures and reports that provide immediate situational awareness of platform readiness rates.
  • Establishes daily maintenance operational goals, objectives and priorities for implementation in-order to achieve stated readiness rates and MNG training objectives as required.
  • Oversees the daily maintenance management of individually assigned aircraft in support of the Production Control (PC) Manager.
  • Works within the maintenance quality control processes, procedures, and standards.
  • Directs inquiries, investigations, and research analysis related to aviation maintenance of AH-6i Aircraft and supporting maintenance activities to the PC Manager.
  • Supervises individuals as assigned.
  • Ensures all maintenance operations and related maintenance support activities are conducted in a safe manner.
  • In coordination with the Aviation Manager, supports the Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART) processes and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned and or directed by management.
  • Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods.
  • Authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma required.
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
    • AH-6i, MD-500 series, MH-6, AH-64 and ten (10) years’ experience desired.
    • Note: Post hire AH-6i familiarization course will be required if applicant is not an A&P, AH-6i, MD500 series, MH-6, OH-58 or AH-64 qualified mechanic.
    • Recent aircraft mechanic experience.
    • FAA A&P certificate.
    • Aviation Technical Inspector (TI) experience.
    • FAA IA certificate.
    • Strong knowledge of military logistics procedures and regulations.
  • Experience Requirements:
    • Qualified by a USG armed forces Rotary Wing aircraft mechanic maintenance course or civilian equivalent and five (5) years’ experience.
    • Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications, and Ability Requirements:
    • Graduate of a US Military aviation maintainers course or civilian equivalent training.
    • Demonstrated past performance and experience in maintenance on MD-530, AH-64, or OH-58D Aircraft.
    • Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and other aircraft related documentation.
    • Proficient in MS Office software.
    • Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Possess a valid US issued driver’s license and passport.
    • Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hire.
