Conducts aircraft maintenance on the AH6i as needed, following specific guidelines from the OEM Operators Manual, Maintenance Test Flight Manual, Check List Manual, and relevant directives. Removes and installs various aircraft systems and components, services and lubricates systems, prepares for inspections, performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and conducts routine and special inspections on aircraft and related components. Utilizes measuring tools, diagnostic equipment, and special tools for troubleshooting subsystems, conducts maintenance operational checks, and performs operator maintenance on tools and Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (AGSE). Prepares detailed maintenance forms and records, provides MNG training as required, and ensures all maintenance operations are executed safely.
Responsibilities
Ensures that AH-6i Aircraft maintenance functional activities and procedures among designated organizations are planned, coordinated, integrated, and synchronized to achieve established platform operational readiness objectives.
Responsible for the compliance with established maintenance systems, processes, procedures and reports that provide immediate situational awareness of platform readiness rates.
Establishes daily maintenance operational goals, objectives and priorities for implementation in order to achieve stated readiness rates and MNG training objectives as required.
Oversees the daily maintenance management of individually assigned aircraft in support of the Production Control (PC) Manager.
Works within the maintenance quality control processes, procedures, and standards.
Directs inquiries, investigations, and research analysis related to aviation maintenance of AH-6i Aircraft and supporting maintenance activities to the PC Manager.
Coordinates activities and requirements for maintenance operations support with the Aviation Manager.
Coordinates through management for daily and weekly maintenance training activities.
Ensures all maintenance operations and related maintenance support activities are conducted in a safe manner.
In coordination with the PC Manager, supports the Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART) processes and procedures.
Other tasks as directed by the PC Manager.
Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods.
Retains the authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in related field is beneficial.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
AH-6i, MD-500 series, MH-6, AH-64 and ten (10) years’ experience desired. Note: Post hire AH-6i familiarization course will be required if applicant is not an A&P, AH-6i, MD500 series, MH-6, OH-58 or AH-64 qualified mechanic.
Recent aircraft mechanic experience.
FAA A&P certificate.
Aviation Technical Inspector (TI) experience.
FAA IA certificate.
Experience Requirements:
Qualified by a USG armed forces Rotary Wing aircraft mechanic maintenance course or civilian equivalent and five (5) years’ experience.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications, and Ability Requirements:
Graduate of a US Military aviation maintainers course or civilian equivalent training.
Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and other aircraft related documentation.
Proficient in MS Office software.
Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.
Possess a valid US issued driver’s license and passport.
Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hire.
