Overview
The Aviation Ground Support Equipment (AGSE) Mechanic Lead, with a minimum of 5-8 years of experience, is responsible for leading a team of skilled mechanics in the maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of ground support equipment crucial to aviation operations. In addition to core responsibilities, this position incorporates specialized tasks such as troubleshooting, inspecting, and performing unit-level maintenance on specific AGSE, including the Aviation Ground Power Unit (AGPU), Generic Aircraft Nitrogen Generator (GANG), and Standard Aircraft Towing System (SATS). The AGSE Mechanic Lead also plays a vital role in training and mentoring MNG Soldiers on AGSE Maintenance, ensuring compliance with applicable Technical Manuals (TM). Moreover, this position is entrusted with sampling, processing, and evaluating AOAP samples submitted for AGSE equipment.
