Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our finance team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our accounts payable department, ensuring accurate and timely payments, and leading a team of accounts payable specialists.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize the daily operations of the accounts payable department
  • Review and approve payment vouchers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and Saudi Arabian regulations
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounts payable specialists
  • Analyze supplier statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Prepare and review payment runs, ensuring all necessary documents are collected and verified
  • Monitor check issuance and maintain proper safeguards for unused checks
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounts payable processes
  • Generate and analyze comprehensive accounts payable reports for management review
  • Stay current with Saudi Arabian accounting regulations, tax laws, and industry best practices
  • Continuously improve accounts payable processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, best practices, and Saudi Arabian accounting regulations
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with process improvement and implementing internal controls
  • Fluency in English and Arabic (both written and spoken)
  • Knowledge of Saudi Arabian tax laws and financial regulations
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines and working efficiently under pressure
