Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations. You will manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will play a key role in optimizing cash flow, leading month-end and year-end closing processes, and managing internal controls.
What will you be doing?
- Financial Record Keeping and Bookkeeping:
- Maintain accurate financial records for all business transactions (accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger).
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Ensure that financial statements are reconciled monthly and discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.
- Manage the company's accounts, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Financial Management and Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Prepare and present the investor report including dealing with the Venture capital-based investor and calculate all KPIs required by the investor.
- Provide insights into the company’s financial performance and present forecasts to senior management.
- Assist in developing financial strategies by forecasting cash flow and anticipating capital needs.
- Monitor budgets and compare them with actual costs and revenues to assist in budget planning.
- Compliance and Regulatory:
- Ensure compliance with Saudi tax regulations, Zakat, VAT, and any other applicable local tax obligations.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities to ensure accurate and timely submissions of tax filings and annual audits.
- Stay updated on local accounting regulations (GAAP, IFRS) and BNPL-specific financial guidelines.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the billing process, ensuring timely and accurate customer invoicing.
- Manage accounts receivable to maintain healthy cash flow, including payment tracking and follow-ups.
- Ensure accounts payable are paid in a timely manner, and manage vendor relationships.
- Work closely with BNPL partners to manage their payment schedules and ensure the reconciliation of transactions.
- Internal Controls and Process Improvement:
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure robust financial management and control.
- Continuously assess and improve accounting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Establish and monitor internal controls to prevent fraud and financial errors.
- Collaboration and Leadership:
- Lead a small accounting team (if applicable), providing training and guidance on accounting policies and procedures.
