Senior Consultant Coverage Engineer - Applied

Job Title: Signals Expert

As a Signals Expert, you are required to provide consultation, supervision, and checking the plan, design, materials, manufacture, factory test, packing, delivery, installation, test & commissioning, trial run, spare parts, maintenance plan, and activities.

Your responsibilities include:

1. Interfacing with system suppliers and railway companies for project progress, managing project implementation, identifying problems, and providing solutions.
2. Checking all documents related to the signaling system such as international and domestic standards, laws, regulations, operation/maintenance manuals, design, and as-built documents, and drawings.
3. Reviewing costs and budgets, BOQ, working staff skills of system suppliers, and engineer dispatch status and their duties.
4. Making plans, feasibility studies, basic designs, detailed designs, BOQ, budgets, RFP, bid preparation, and bidding support.
5. Taking responsibility for railway signaling engineering services.
6. Supervising and inspecting railway signaling system construction.
7. Scrutinizing and checking designs, manufacture, installation, and costs.
8. Enabling contractor works.
9. Analyzing the scope of signaling work and RFP.
10. Analyzing standards of railway signaling.
11. Advising on standards and international trends of technique.
12. Interfacing with clients, contractors, and other parties.
13. Suggesting the best signaling system and bidding guidelines.

Requirements:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in electronic or telecommunication engineering.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in railway signaling.
• Field experience with railway signaling systems.
• Membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers.
• Computer handling skills for documentation.
• Proficiency in CAD programs for checking drawings.
• Knowledge of railway signaling.
• Knowledge of train control.
• Understanding of railway signaling system principles.
• Understanding of rules and standards of railway signaling.
• Good communication skills with clients and system suppliers.
