Job Title: Planning Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Planning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing necessary planning modifications to government residential, investment, and structural road plans in compliance with technical standards, requirements, and specifications. Additionally, they will review private planning projects, including land subdivision and the conversion of agricultural land deeds into residential land, in accordance with the technical guidelines and specifications set by the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing.

Key Responsibilities

1. Implement necessary planning modifications to governmental residential, investment, and structural road plans in line with technical standards, requirements, and specifications.
2. Review and assess private planning projects, including land subdivision, land privatization, and the conversion of agricultural land deeds into residential land, ensuring compliance with the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing's technical guidelines and specifications.
3. Collaborate closely with the Urban Planning Department to ensure alignment with strategic planning objectives and regulations.
4. Prepare and update layouts, designs, and planning documents for residential, investment, and infrastructure projects.
5. Conduct technical reviews for planning proposals and ensure adherence to zoning regulations and land-use criteria.
6. Provide technical expertise and recommendations to optimize land utilization and ensure alignment with urban planning policies.
7. Review and ensure compliance with municipal planning codes, standards, and environmental considerations.
8. Conduct site inspections to verify on-ground compliance with approved plans and regulations.
9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of urban planning policies, technical standards, and municipal requirements.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in urban planning.
2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in planning and land development, with a focus on residential, investment, and infrastructure projects.
3. Proficiency in planning tools and software such as AutoCAD, GIS, and other relevant programs.
4. Familiarity with the planning standards and technical specifications of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing.
5. Proven experience in preparing and reviewing residential and investment plans, subdivision projects, and land deed conversion processes.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
7. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
8. Experience in preparing documentation for municipal approvals and liaising with government planning authorities.
