Global Operations Engineer (Terrassa, Spain)

Global Operations Engineer provides support to the different plants of Neklar. Responsibilities include assisting in Safety, Quality, Volume, and Cost, as well as supporting and learning about production, process engineering, planning, and internal logistics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist in analyzing plant capacity alongside plant management and support in yearly capacity analysis.
2. Support production and process engineering teams in understanding available capacity and optimizing workshop layouts.
3. Apply basic time, motion, methods, and speed studies to enhance production efficiency and OEE, DLP, and ILP indicators.
4. Assist in improving manufacturing processes and equipment to enhance competitiveness, packaging material flow, and cost reduction.
5. Collaborate with Production Managers to track and support improvement initiatives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. Minimum 2 years of experience in an operations environment (preferred in automotive industry and/or manufacturing)
2. Basic knowledge of SAP (or equivalent ERP)
3. Advanced level of English
4. EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) basic knowledge is a plus
5. Familiarity with Kaizen, 5S, SMED, and Lean tools is appreciated
6. Exposure to quality-related concepts in SAP and manufacturing execution systems (MES) will be valued
