We are looking for a motivated colleague for the supervision and further development of the contact study program in computer science with immediate effect or later. The position is initially limited until the end of 2026 with a good chance of extension. The position is divisible.
The University of Konstanz is one of eleven Universities of Excellence in Germany and has been funded by the Excellence Initiative and its successor program, the Excellence Strategy of the German federal and state governments, since 2007.
The working group Fundamentals and Didactics of Computer Science conducts research in the field of subject didactics, teacher training and further education and offers a variety of lectures and seminars in the field of fundamentals and didactics of computer science.
The position advertised here is intended to support the working group in the implementation and further development of the Contact Studies in Computer Science. Now in its seventh year, the computer science contact course is a successful one-year academic post-qualification program for up to 400 computer science teachers. The program is offered in a blended learning format and has been scientifically monitored and evaluated since its inception.
Due to upcoming comprehensive further developments of the program (including content adjustments to the new educational plan; scaling the program from 150 to approx. 400 participants annually; stronger integration of subject-specific didactic content), we would like to expand our team!
The position also includes the opportunity to conduct research in the field of foundations and didactics of computer science and is therefore equally suitable for doctoral students and postdocs.
For further information on the position, please contact Dr. Michael Blumenschein at michael.blumenschein@uni-konstanz.de or Dr. Barbara Pampel at barbara.pampel@uni-konstanz.de at any time.
We look forward to receiving your application (cover letter, CV, certificates) by 10.03.2025 via our online application portal.
