SaaS Product Owner (m/w/d)

We are seeking a dedicated Product Owner to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our CEO - who currently leads product strategy - to translate the product vision into actionable tasks for our engineering team. Your primary focus will be on managing the product backlog, creating detailed user stories, and ensuring that our development efforts align with customer needs and business objectives.

Tasks

Backlog Management

1. Own and prioritize the product backlog based on the product roadmap and strategic goals.
2. Ensure transparency of the backlog items to all stakeholders.

User Story Development

1. Write clear, concise user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
2. Break down complex features into manageable tasks for the engineering team.

Sprint Planning and Execution

1. Collaborate with the engineering team during sprint planning to define goals and deliverables.
2. Take ownership of our sprint planning meeting.

Stakeholder Communication

1. Act as the primary liaison between the CEO (product strategy) and the engineering team.
2. Provide regular updates on development progress and gather feedback.

Quality Assurance

1. Validate completed work against acceptance criteria and ensure it meets the product’s quality standards.
2. Facilitate user acceptance testing and incorporate feedback into future sprints.

Process Improvement

1. Continuously evaluate and improve product development processes.
2. Implement best practices in our development process.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a SaaS environment.
3. Proven track record of managing software products from conception to launch.

Skills

1. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and their core principles.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
3. Ability to translate high-level product ideas into detailed technical requirements.
4. Proficiency with product management tools.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
