Logistics Operations Manager

Matsmart is now looking for a Logistics Operations Manager who wants to be a part of our exciting journey and play an important role in running and developing our operations in the DACH region.

As a Logistics Operations Manager you:

• Tie together Purchasing with the Warehouse and make sure goods are delivered on time and in the right quality.
• Ensure received products are ready to sell online by complementing required master data on inbounded products.
• Make sure deliveries to our customers are according to expectations by following up with our 3PL on delivery time and quality.

You will be part of the Global Logistics team and report to the Chief Logistics Officer. The role is based in Grossbeeren at our warehouse, which is run by a 3PL. The team consists of 2 employees.

The team works in an agile and constantly changing environment where you have full responsibility for the logistics operations, taking quick decisions, yet with our customers and business in mind. We are looking for an action-taking individual with good leadership and problem-solving skills, who has a positive “can-do” mentality and likes to be in an operative environment.

What you’ll do as Logistics Operations Manager:

• Ensure deliveries from suppliers are booked and delivered to the warehouse in time.
• Ensure required master data and pictures are complemented on inbounded products.
• Ensure inbound deliveries are handled in the right time from the warehouse.
• Troubleshoot inbound issues as they arise.
• Follow up with the 3PL partner on shipped on time from the warehouse and pick and pack quality.
• Build and foster strong relationships and networks with partners & suppliers.
• Improve processes and partners for better output and quality.
• Perform quality checks on packed orders to ensure the logistic partner is packing according to agreed standards.
• Ensure last mile deliveries to our customers are working according to expectations.
• Be responsible for material purchases.

To be successful in this role, we believe you need:

• 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management, operations, or logistics.
• Higher education and/or professional training in operations, supply chain management, or a related business field.
• Experience in a warehouse environment.
• Excellent communication skills in German (both verbal and written), comfortable working in English.

• Good leadership skills and are used to leading other people and partners.
• A decisive nature, standing solid on the ground regarding necessary requirements and improvements.
• Easy collaboration skills and the ability to create good relationships internally at Motatos and with other partners.
• A hands-on mentality with a flexible and proactive approach; ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good organizational and time-management skills to oversee multiple tasks and prioritize effectively during peak periods.
• A start-up mindset with a can-do attitude and a solution-oriented approach.
