Cost Estimator - Program Controls

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Project Controls Manager specializing in Cost Controls & Cost Estimation to support a leading pharmaceutical client in South Germany. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project cost management, ensuring financial control, accurate cost forecasting, and budget adherence for capital projects within the pharmaceutical sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage cost control strategies, ensuring project budgets align with financial expectations.

• Prepare cost estimates and forecasts for capital projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.

• Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.

• Implement and maintain cost tracking systems, ensuring transparency in project expenditure.

• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to control costs and optimize financial performance.

• Perform risk analysis related to cost impacts and provide mitigation strategies.

• Support in preparing financial reports, cost summaries, and progress reports for stakeholders.

• Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards and regulatory requirements in project cost management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in project controls, cost estimation, and cost control, preferably in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Project Management, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of cost control tools and software (e.g., Primavera, SAP, Excel, or similar).

• Experience working on capital projects within pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotech, or regulated industries.

• Proficiency in German and English (both written and spoken).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
