The Company:
Our client is an international manufacturer of coated, laminated and metallised films serving a diverse range of industries such as packaging, FMCG, aerospace, automotive, insulation, textiles and medical. As part of their ambitious plans for growth, the company is seeking a leader in sales and business development.
The Role:
Strategic Development:
- Identification and evaluation of new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships to drive company growth.
- Collaboration and alignment with management, including budget preparation.
Project Management:
- Planning, execution, and monitoring of project deadlines in the area of New Business.
- Coordination of internal and external stakeholders up to machine trials and product qualification with customers.
Operational Business:
- Direct support and further development of key customers.
- Analysis of sales key figures and updating the sales forecast.
- Leading and developing the Business Development team consisting of two Business Development Managers.
- Managing the Customer Service team with three employees.
Market Research:
- Conducting market analyses and competitive monitoring to derive strategic recommendations.
Network Development:
- Building and maintaining relationships with potential customers, partners, and industry representatives.
Budget Responsibility:
- Planning and monitoring budgets and resources for Business Development projects.
Person Profile:
- Technical or commercial training or studies.
- Extensive sales experience in the field of plastics processing, the packaging industry, or surface coating, preferably in the processing of web-shaped materials.
- Experience in team leadership.
- Strong customer-oriented thinking and action.
- Hands-on mentality combined with a structured working approach and excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, confidence, and positivity.
- Business-fluent English skills, both spoken and written.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
