Project Management

As a Site Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and oversee manufacturing activities at an international shipyard. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality project delivery. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, develop operational plans, and represent the company to clients and stakeholders.

Key Tasks:

  • Execute manufacturing activities for new naval ships within defined quality, budget, and timeline parameters.
  • Develop and monitor operational plans and align them with project targets.
  • Manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and facilities.
  • Create and enforce local policies and procedures to achieve project objectives.
  • Lead site teams to ensure compliance with all applicable standards and specifications.
  • Foster a synchronized, efficient, and high-performing team culture.
  • Liaise with clients and professional associations to represent the company.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve production processes.

Knowledge & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (EQF6) or equivalent in Maritime Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field, with 5-7 years of experience; OR Master’s degree (EQF7) with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of production methods and techniques, particularly in shipbuilding.
  • Proficiency in planning and operational management techniques.

Experience

  • Proven expertise in managing complex manufacturing projects in shipbuilding.
  • Strong leadership background with experience in coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with international manufacturing environments and processes.

Additional Requirements

  • German language skills mandatory; proficient in English.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work internationally for extended periods.
  • Leadership and coaching abilities.
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Stress tolerance and flexibility in dynamic environments.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
